It is time to thank the current EU ISSA status marshals for their hard work over the last couple of years: Ricardo Damborenea, Petr Janousek and Peter Pletanek. Ricardo and Petr J have also served on the ISSA Board of Directors, while Peter has also maintained the calendar, handling every addition, change and cancellation with perfection.
We thank them for updating the status application forms, setting new criteria for the events, and most of all for running the whole show for years! Europe is having 50-80 slalom events per year and they've been reviewing applications, discussing with national coordinators, pushed organizers to rethink, solved trouble and discussed outcome of events. During 2013 they also submitted a file with suggestions for updates to the form, the sanction criteria and the follow up of the events. These suggestions have been reviewed by the BOD and pretty much all will be implemented for the 2014 season.
Ricardo, Petr, Peter, it's my honor to thank you for your contribution to the slalom scene and to the ISSA organization. Your efforts have been appreciated and most valuable to us all. Thank you!
