I posted this on the Fish and thought I'd do so here.... Another great race, fo sho! This Sizzler was certainly different and I think maybe the best one yet! They seem to get better and better each year. Marcos...YOU deserve many acolades. I know you were stressing at times but it was well worth it....

This BAR is way mellow. You just have to hold for a sec before you get to the thrust at the bottom. First time I rolled it I got back on my tail a bit because I was expecting the tranistion to end a bit quicker than it did. So it's roll, hold it, thrust out.

I believe Lou meant to state COPYING as opposed to COPPING in his text. He was probably thinking about COPING or something as he was writing it, knowing him. It's going to be a really good roll-in. It's either that or one of those bungee sling-shot thing-a-majiggys.

FYI, I talked to Lou and he said the B.A.R. for the Sizzler is 9' tall with a 6' radius on the drop; very mellow.

There will be a BAR (BIG ASS RAMP) at this years Sizzler G.S. / DOWNHILL event. Lou Statman is building it and with a big enough radius a downhill board will easily drop in on it with no chance of bottoming out. I believe he said "A little over 9 feet tall."

Trish Erickson! 2009 Cockfight Skateboards GNAR-COCK award!

A couple of my friends and fellow skaters/racers have a small company called Cockfight Skateboards. They are more into grinding pool coping than anything but also dabble with racing. One of those guys, Kevin Lane, was at the Sizzler this year and gave away a board. While in Big Ryan's garage I saw a...
