What a rad session! There were only 4 of us skating, but lots of the snowboarders who turned up to ride the dry Slpoe were impressed and want to try it. The bloody North-East weather cut it a bit short, but we then just adlourned to the slope and rode our snowboards. (the rental ones were really sh*...

Impromptu Slalom sesh! Saturday 22nd november.
While we are doing a tune up this Saturday on the dry ski slope for the Uni Xmas snoboard trip to Val D'Isere, a few of us are going to skate in the car park. So anyone who fancies a bit of cone dodging, general pratting about and/or giving the slope a hammering let me know. 1pm kick -off. The addre...

And I do not need to ask how you feel. Again because I KNOW. And nothing you say can change my feeling of compassion for ...

I didn't know it was a performance issue, just asked a bloody question. What is with you blokes I don't come to your races so I don't exist? Most of them 300 or 400 miles away and not easy to afford on a grant. I have skated with several UK skaters, mostly downhillers and lugers who are more chilled...

Calm down Micheal!
Ooops! I didn't mean any harm or to diss your deck. As for my source, I don't want to dob anyone in, if he was wrong, he was wrong. If he was right, you answered thats is a proto - no problem, but chill out mate! As for some of your other comments, I think they are a little harsh. Didn't you say its...

Well, thanks for the tips guys and the great advice. I DID follow that link...and sadly read it all (not enough dosh for the Pub tonight!) I think it is great to argue about rules on the internet so you have more time to spend racing at races. I think those pre printed courses will start something. ...

Hybrid slalom tips please?
Thinking of entering a hybrid race, but don't know the real differences between that and tight slalom.
Any thoughts on the differences?
Will I be Ok on a slalom rig, if not, what should I be looking for?
What do i need to do technique wise?
Cheers,
Spike.

The Improver!
From what I've heard, seems like good riders are becoming better, quicker! Its been called the Improver in my neck of the woods. Its the damned sexiest thing I've seen that you can ride without having to buy dinner for.

Just a casual observer.
You can tell me to shut up, but I have an opinion of some of the stuff you wrote mate, What is more important for a World Record ? - to show slalom with the best racers to the public or - to have one more event for big guy's where they can play in a secret place with them self. I don't want to attac...

Anyone got experience of ankle braces that give you support slaloming? Torn ankle ligaments mean I'm out of the game for a bit, but want some support when I come back.

Hey Spike, I'm pleased that you like the deck. Donald has really pulled-out all the stops, producing a machine with hi-tech materials in a superfast time. Why bother calling it 'Tight"?
Isn't it a question of what skills are needed like the Latvian guy said? Isn't Tight Slalom supposed to show real technical skill and the ability to process cones quickly not just the same skills required for Hybrid and GS? Won't the spectators be bored if to them it looks like just the same event, ...
