Results!

Oops! I never posted the results! Here they are. We ended up having four people and racing both HS and TS, both single lane with a ramp start. We each got several runs in on both courses before it started to sprinkle a bit of rain, then kept skating until it turned into a downpour! :D In both events...

whoa settle down willy. I don't have internet access at home any more and stuff slips by! There will be a signup coming in the next few days - I just emailed NCDSA about it. This is going to be a low key event but still a lot of fun. It's mostly flat but we should be able to pull off a single-lane H...

Talked to Tod Oles and Chris Favero at Slalom St. Louis, and it sounded like both of them were hoping to make it out... Lavin, maybe you can hop in the car with them!

There's not a huge place to race but we should be able to get some decent TS/HS in anyway.

Slalom Demo/Race Ft. Wayne IN area August 14, 2010

I'll be hosting a smallish slalom event in Leo, Indiana on August 14, 2010. The current plan is to have a slalom demo in the morning to teach new people with a race in the afternoon (beginners and open classes). This is being held in conjunction with a farmer's market that will be happening every we...

I posit that Cat Young rocks harder, but I don't want this whole thread to turn into a battle of high fives. ANYWAY , I have a few thoughts rolling around in my head on this topic (the start ramps, not how rockin' Cat is): 1) It might be beneficial to retain the requirements for open or amateur clas...

#8 Did happen. I'll get Metzger to answer. Yep, sure did! We did not have enough Pro entrants to do separate classes so both the HS (single lane) and TS (dual lane) were run as one open class. Results below. Hybrid Slalom 1. Jonathan Harms - 26.739 2. David Harris - 28.111 3. Bobby Thomas - 28.127 ...

I've heard that a randal 125 on a 35* baseplate can be a good upgrade from an RTS (which is what I'm also currently running) but I haven't been able to test it out yet.

I'm willing to try out anything (as long as it's good - radikal, gog, virage, whatever) - the only issue is money. I haven't got much of it, so I'm hoping to find a [relatively] cheap used truck. I figured a Rad would be my lowest-priced precision option. It's also the only precision truck I've ridd...

Want To Buy: Radikal Dragon's Claw and 35* Randal 125

Hey,

I'm looking for a Dragon's Claw front truck - used is ok. I'm also hoping to find a Randal 125 on a 35* plate. Used is ok there, too.

Hey everyone, I just sent in the sanctioning application for the event I'm hosting in the fall... it will involve more than slalom but as far as you all are concerned it's a long-format single lane HS race with some 50-cone TS goodness thrown in as a bonus. Watch for more info to start emerging on t...

And thanks to Jack and Skateboarder's Journal for giving us a place where someone like Peter can make contact and be put in touch with racers in his area! +1 to that! I've liked the way it felt with larger front wheels as compared to all even wheels, but haven't tried a larger-back-wheels setup yet, probably will today/tomorrow. After that I want to settle into a setup if possible so I can get used to it before the Chicago/Batavia race on Saturday. I'm planning t...
