Drove past the Park and Ride yesterday and the thought of skating crossed my mind. I work near a really sweet hill we used to skate back in the 70's. I skated it with Wes E. a week or so before Lacosta 2001. I set my quicksilver woody up for my son to cruise around campus down in Florida while he wa...

Race In the Rain
I was there, must've drank a case of Red Bull. Chaput won the race in '02 with a perfectly executed "Criddle". I just posted an Album on FaceBook with pictures. Find me under Abelardo Michel Temoche.

G'burg conditions
Right now the pavement is wet in G'burg a little snow on the grass. Could dry up in a few hours.
Here's what the Washington Post says.
A little accumulation of snow early this morning; otherwise, breezy and cold with clouds breaking

Capitol Hill slalom skateboarder
Hey Zach. I work on the Hill and I slalom. I start work at 11:00 am on M W F. I take the Marc train in to Union Station on those days and have some time to kill before work. Sometimes I go to the gym to kill the time. I'd be up for some skating on those mornings. I get out at 5 on T TH, with the tim...

Nobody Slaloming
Hey, I've been reading your posts at least :) It's soccer referee season for me. I can stop by around 3:30pm on Sunday. I started skating around my work a few days a week this week. I bring my board on MWF, ride down to the gym, work out for about an hour and ride back to the office. Today I even sk...

I'm still alive and well in Gaithersburg. My daughter started college and my son is going in to 11th grade. I just started a new job a couple of months ago doing IT for a newspaper on capitol hill. I've been refereeing soccer on weekends and sometimes during the week. The day of the P&R race I was o...

Out of town
I'll be on a camping trip. Last time I checked P&R still looks the same.
I started a new job downtown and drive down Sherril Drive a couple of times a week, that would make for an exciting slalom venue.

We're coming out, out of our closet, out on street ... I haven't skated much since my slam on 15th street. My hip is still a little swollen on that side. I did get up and make the course the next run, but I was in alot of pain that night. I started reffing soccer again after a long break this spring...

Sherrill
Anthony or Doug do you guys still have the movies online that you guys took there a few years ago? That place would be great for a killer GS or Super GS. Maybe some tight ass duals at the bottom of the hill. So is there a session there this Sunday?

alternate spots
http://homepage.mac.com/atemoche/Skateboard_Site/PhotoAlbum3.html I've never been busted at the spot on the bottom of the page. Didn't seem to bother the church people. There's also the spot we used prior to the race GBJ had at the P&R (DC Open I think)on Girard street in G'burg. They use the parki...

Eric's visit
You can also catch Amtrack from 1501 N Charles St in Baltimore. Amtrak will have more trains and get you there faster than MARC. Marc is a commuter train, operates at rush hour. There is also a train station at BWI serviced by both Amtrack and Marc. There is a metro that goes to Gaithersburg that yo...

More Challenging Spot
Thanks for the encouragement, Dan. If you get a chance, check out the parking lot at the top of Professional drive. From the P&R head east onto Quince Orchard and then North on 355 (Frederick Ave). Professional drive is around 4 lights up 355 and on the left. There's a 7-11 on the corner. Congratula...

I might step on a skate for the first time since Adam's Morgan Day tomorrow. Probably won't race though, aother fall would probably kill me and I still have a little bit of swelling. I know a couple of more challenging spots within a mile or so of P&R. I was saying P&R was practically flat a couple ...

Just heard from the Kook. He's out in Huntington Beach, CA. He says "By hook or crook the Brower timer will be at the race." He also says he'll be kickin' in either Chaput or Ed Economies door while he's over there . The Brower I scored on EBay is won't work for duals. Duals would require a m...

My girlfriend lives in Adam's Morgan and has been going to some of the meetings for Adam's Morgan Day. She hadn't mentioned California street. The message I left the Kook was about Wyoming. That street has also been repaved. The runout could be a turn up 18th street. Sorry I missed the last race, I'...

I'm not saying to throw away the whiteboard. I'm saying to have a spreadsheet as well. I've got a ten year old laptop with a spresadshhet that I think would work without any glitches.
