D'oh!

I found out about it Saturday afternoon, late-ish. I totally would have been there.

I'll keep checking in for dates for another one. I dodge cones w/ my car every few weeks, generally on Saturdays early, but if I don't have an auto-cross I'll do the outlaw race.

I was talking w/ Ohm at the Athens race, and he was proposing that we do a shared gig where everyone takes a race, and is responsible for the course, special theme, refreshments, door prizes, pin the tail on Vlad, etc.

Yes.

Monkeywrench machine works, when doing our regular 8mm axle conversion, faces both the hanger casting and inner face of the axle nut square to the centerline of the axle. We also add a shoulder, so that washers or "speedrings" are not required. See pics in the MMW thread.

Speedrings or no, it's virtually impossible to preload your skateboard bearings. There should be, in order, on your axle, assuming you're not using Abec11 Biltin bearings: speedring/bearing/spacer=distance between bearing seats in your wheels+a couple thousandths of an inch/bearing/speedring/nut.
