Looks like Tensor is upgrading to their MOC 5 to the MOC 9 SS edition bearing. Doesn't look like the regular Oust MOC 9, but I'm going by an ad, I haven't seen them in person. Carl is also applying his knowledge to wheels and trucks as well and working w/ Mullen and designing new Tensor Trucks and a...

The 130's should be suitable on a 7½ wide board. If you don't want your wheels to stick out at all, you might have to go with the 110 though. The Grippin is centre-set, but it's still fairly wide.

The final version came w/o inner shields and with the crowns facing the other way to allow easy access for cleaning and lubing.

Must be prototypes in that picture.

if Chris' manufacturer is selling him graded bearings, with the attendant price differential, and they're not actually making the grade, then both Chris and consumer are getting screwed. So what are the various theories behind the number of balls per bearing?

A conventional bearing has 7 balls, but I've seen:

Reflex 9 balls
Reflex 8 ball
Bones Super Swiss 6 ball

Finally got to see the ad for myself and it looks like Tensor is using the Oust Moc 5 Street bearing. This is the one with the non-removable metal shield with a small hole in it so you can re-lube it.

W. Kilmer, First, just why did you single out Chris Chaput and ABEC 11? Weren`t there other companies pointed out by Ron`s cohort? Chaput is an active and candid poster, and he moderates this forum, so it seemed like a good choice. Could it be that the bearings were manufactured and sold to Chris a...

Naming a company ABEC 11- a non-existent bearing rating- is deceiving, dishonest and impudent. In addition, it creates confusion such as in “I use ABEC 11’s ABEC 5’s”. Naming a company “Pleasure Tool” is provocative, vulgar and bold. On the one hand, it clearly establishes a sexual reference. On th...

I wouldn’t worry too much about stated ABEC spec - A bearing’s high tolerance is lost as soon as you start skating with them anyway. I don't care about general ABEC ratings, but if a bearing company is going to offer their bearings in 3 different grades with three different prices, then I think the...

Three brands and no General Bearing Forum seems a little skimpy, especially for a site that has a Griptape and a Riser forum :P

Biltins ABEC rating?

FWIW, recent measurement of Biltin showed that the Abec 7 model measure out to the same as the Abec 3 Biltins. Similarly, the Pleasure Tools Abec 7 has tolerances in the 3 range as well. He says this is common with the Chinese bearings and that Chris and Ed may not even know that their suppliers ar...

Oust bought out by Tensor?

Latest Transworld has a Tensor Bearings ad and they are "powered by Oust". So did Dwindle buy Oust or did they just get Oust to manufacture Tensor bearings?

I thought Rodney Mullen only liked products made in China ;)

b)Focus on the nostalgic and recreational market.

c)Consider new constructions.
