Re: New to slalom, quick set up info

that's a great setup!

perfect for beginner through intermediate and even past that

Put the Tracker in the back and wedge it with the thin part towards the front. Bennett goes in the front with same kind of wedging.

Re: who wants to help expand slalom racing?

That's awesome Bernie!!! The Pennies have caught on here as well. We've been featuring kids races at most of our East Coast races here in the States. And we also have a Vintage class at the Farm Series of slalom races for the past 10 years - nothing after 1978. Your idea kinda combines them - love i...

I too have sponsored many races in the past - WAYYYY too many races for such a small company!!!! Re: Ideas, after Stuttgart, for future races

I think that there might be a school of thought that running the Pros later in the day keeps the crowd. Once the Pros are done, spectators will hang around for a little while and then they’ll leave as the action isn’t as high. But given the fact that we attract dozens of spectators to events, it rea...

Anyone that was at Farm #4 - my first - will remember my "tripod" finish. I did that very same "lose the spacer" drill and my wheel heated up and came off the bearings, leaving me to finish on only 3 But I did indeed finish! And I popped the board up at the end so I didn't damage the tape strip Mayb...

My apologies I believe I have misspoken The event in Akron will have to be shelved for now There are too many other races going on at the same time and the week before and after Neil feels, and rightly so, that this will further divide the small pool that is travelling slalom racers. But big thanks ...

The organizers were approached well in advance. I personally asked them what kind of status they wanted.

They told me that the race was for fun, not for points.

The results would be nice to know, but that was not the spirit of the event.

I agree that pros should be run early, but maybe not first. First of all, the first few races may have timer issues - they should be sorted out with ams. Second of all, spectators may be inclined to leave after the pros. I think maybe juniors first - there aren't many of them, and they're "cute", or...

Can't disagree with Steve and Donald's logic. There just aren't enough "Pros" or people who wanna call themselves Pros anymore to warrant a seperate division. Perhaps the Pro division should have some requirements? But then again if the requirement was that if you win X number of Am races you become...
