Brendan,
Let us know where in the world you live (just generally) and we can probably get you hooked up with a jam or contest where you can try a few boards.

Thank you John. I will miss watching Troy skate. He was smooth, focused, and very competitive without being a dick about it. I'll miss him and his quiet sense of humor. JBH,
You've probably met Lindsey in Antrim. She kick's ass from the middle of the hill :-)
Hi Lindsey! Look for Dr. Dan's race in Holyoke early summer and maybe, just maybe, a Farm.

Re: HUGE slalom opportunity in Akron!!!
You do realize what is at stake here, right? A decently run event paves the way for us to use soapbox derby hills all over the country. I tried to get this done for about 2 years and got nowhere. Yeah, the timing sucks, but perhaps the IGSA can be persuaded to push the date out a bit next year.

2-3 years ago the Pollacks were not bringing $500 a couple of years ago, but they are a whole other animal. I'm not as active on ebay as I once was, but try to keep track as I have a large stash that belongs to WRIV that is increasingly worth less. Ick's, roes, and flat PPS seem to be worth a lot le...

Hola! My son and I are very interested in hiking the Camino de Santiago. I was wondering if anyone on the ISSA has done it. Antrim's Pastor Peggi Boyce dies of heart attack
If you've raced in Antrim, you've had your board blessed by Pastor Peggi. She passed yesterday from a heart attack. I urge the ISSA to support this with $. I realize there is not a lot of moany to go around, but there is some, right? THIS IS HUGE! There are soapbox hills all over the world. I tried for 3-4 years to break the ice with these guys and never got above local level (the Farm hill in Bethel is a local s...

Yes, softer can help, that blue stim is pretty hard depending upon your weight. Also, often what happens while stationary on you carpet, is not indicative of what happens on a hill at 10 or 20 mph. Whatever you do, just watch out for wheel bite. Once you get that dialed, you might try adding some mo...
