I have been looking at a new hill myself and... I remember where it is. We may ride over there and test it out. Not far from Madlands. It's going to be tough to skate Sunday. As of right now, I'm still down. It will be the first weekend in a while with good weather and I've got a new motorcycle... j...

Demetrius, If don't want it to die... don't let it. I see you around and you don't say anything to me about wanting to skate like you do on this forum. I know your a quiet guy, so am I, but you use to show up on the hill and just sit and watch. Now you're fired up about the scene dying... You have t...

[2008] Southern Super Jam
Well… As you can see the first Southern Super Jam is done. We had a great turn out. Thanks to all who attended. After a couple of showers on Friday as set up was taking place, which soon dried due to the pre-rain temp of the street, the rest of the weekend has been really nice, sunny mid-70’s… perfe...

At first glance you'd think Gorilla buscuits gave Lou Statman, both of Texas, a good intentional shove but if you look closely Lou actually pumped hard and knocked GB's board right out from under him. Good clean fun! Double DQ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVraAw4NZhk Thanks to Gabe & Sarah at F...

Another Luna Slalom Jam is in the books, the fifth LSJ. I must say it was one of the best. We had a great time with old friends and met many new ones. We had several that couldn’t make it for one reason or another and believe me, we missed you. Sorry you couldn’t be there. I can’t say enough about o...

Luna Slalom Jam 2007 is only a few days away. We are really looking forward to this one, our fifth. It's going to be good to see old friends and new ones as well. This year will be interesting. I'd like to thank our sponsors for this event. Guys like Foiled Concepts Longboards, Pocket Pistol Skates,...

The halfpipe is a 20' diameter (10' radius), no flat, 8' tall, with a 4' wide roll in on one side. Concrete coping. Sorry no pictures yet. Plan on staying the night at Clifton's Saturday night. The drive home is not bad but we dig having everyone safely at Clifton's. If you are driving in bring slee...

[2006] Luna Slalom Jam 2006
I just wanted to start a new thread on Luna. I didn't like the question mark associated with the other, there is diffinately no question mark on LSJ, so... First things first... I would like to publicly thank The Henns, Frank & Laura, for all they have done for Luna 2006. In times of stress on race ...
Graphics!
The new graphics look killer! The blues bros. thing is awesome. They were "from" Chicago right?

Notice how I stay out of this discussion. I feel it's up to the racers to decide status not the organizers. I'm not campaining either way. It would be an honor to be voted Prime by the racers. That's one of those things that makes the work worth it. It feels good to know the racers respect the event...

I'm watching WT. The surface may not be perfect but it also depends on my course. I've said that the course will be relatively mellow, traction may not be an issue, right? This is only the Friday night outlaw so don't sweat it to much. On the Saturday hill I run 90/86 or 82 combos. I do STOCK 78's. ...

Luna is on officially as of last Friday. The venue is awesome for Luna this year. I've been holding off to make sure I had it before going public. It's no derby hill but it will be a great place for racing, for the public and an even better place for racers to set up pits during the day and gather a...

It going to be May 5th & 6th with a possible banked slalom outlaw on the 7th. The city couldn't let us have the venue until then. This will be a great spot to race, restrooms, ice machine, kitchen, nice fenced yard for racers only to lay out equipment and possible camping, porch with ceiling fans to...

Thanks Mike and Yep we dodged them, barely... I'll never forget LCO 01, there was a big storm the night before the race. I got to the hill and Carl came running over and told "Call home now!" We too, are always a Grass Roots Slalom event. If the Pros want to come that's fine, but my races are for the masses. Even the courses will reflect this. Notice I haven't attempted to entice people with big money prizes or even schwag hook-ups (even though there will be). This years Luna is like "He...

Luna is on the NCDSA Contest Calendar. We hope to see everyone back again this year. I especially hope Philthy McNasty shows. Met with Wendy Bourdin of Ridgeland Parks & Rec this morning and she's welcoming the event on Avery Blvd. She's having a bit of heartburn in that it's on the same day as the Natchez Trace Century bike ride. This worries her because she has barricades, police, etc. all used up. I don't think we need ...
