Re: 2011 Utah

Thanks to all the skaters that showed up for a great session Sunday. Martin and Paul set great courses and showed us the fastest most stylish way to get through them. Skully built a sweet modular starting ramp, and hooked us up with a skaterbuilt deck, some steps for our starting ramp, and a couple ...

Thanks to Curt, the Murphy's, Paul and Martin, Mark and Bob, for making it a great session. There is a huge chip-seal program up here this summer , but we still have a few hills that are unscath...

Good Luck At Hood River Trish!!!

I've seen Trish improve immensely in the last year, and going to these bigger races is the best way to step it up to the next level. The ladies at Hood River better bring their A-games,
because I know Trish will !
Have fun Trish!
The UPC posse will be cheering for you !!

Thursday slalom session.

I've been out of the UPC loop for a while due to a relapse of the pnuemonia that I've had for the last six weeks. I feel good enough to skate a bit now, and next thursday (7/13), Bob and I will be coming down to skate with the UPC crew. Hopefully, we'll be back at the hill by then, but if folks want...

Wow, I had a great time wiggling with you all on sunday. It was good to see the UPC there in force, and the weather could not have been more prime. Grandmaster Martin was there to stoke the crew and and set rad courses, it's very fortunate that we have a world champ to learn from. It's obvious that ...

Erek, It's great that you are taking the initiative and getting an event set up. I just purchased a Brower timing system, and a second system may be available to run a dual format. We had a great event last year in Park City (UPC fall shindig), and with the addition of a SLC race and the possibility...

Trish got second in hybrid and 3rd in GS amongst the women at the Texas Sizzler. She also had times that beat a lot of the mens times.

Trish, I hope you make it to Texas, it sounds like a great event. I think the other women will be racing for second place if you show up. Actually Mike, it's quite the opposite of a tech breakthrough, bindingless snowboarding is basically snow surfing in it's purest and most primal form. Riding these boards is like a taking a step back to the early days of the sport. Think snurfer, winterstick, or sims /toft yellow bannana boards. I'l...

Park City is slated to open on the 19th of this month, it could be a bit thin as there really isn't much snow in the forcast beween now and then. But I assume PMRC has lots of energy and water wasting, fake snow making equiptment. We have 2 feet of powder at Tony grove, and I've been up there 5 days...
