I'll jump in. The Wiggle War will be June 19 & 20 in 2010. We'll prolly have a little informal / unofficial tom-foolery Friday night the 18th for those that arrive early. If we don't get rained out this year.

There's going to be a contest in Arlington Heights March 21. Chi+ill will be there. The guy setting it up (Phil I.) is a member of Chicago Longboard Society. I think you are too, aren't you Larry? I was kinda hoping for a big turnout from CLS members.

Little update - 2 of the Madison TV stations are covering it. WMTV - the NBC affiliate and the Madison CW station (I forgot their call letters). Woo-hoo! We're all gonna be TV stars. In Madison anyway.

Well ... The first 2 years, the Saturday morning event was straight, tight slalom. In 2006 it was single lane, 5.5' centers. In 2007 it was dual lane 6' centers. I use the red/toeside, white/heelside as a training tool for tight slalom. It helps me figure out what I might be doing wrong if after a run I turn around and see that I've knocked over 1 white cone and 7 red cones. Red cones look prettier in photos. Thanks for the idea about the return address labels. I've always been fortunate enough to return with all my cones (25 red 3DM, 26 white Seismic).

I considered drilling a small hole (1/8") near the base of each cone to mark it, but I never got around to it. I like your idea better.

Talk about going the extra mile. JBH et al got a weed burner to manually speed the drying process on the road. Tedious, manual labor, but they did it. 1st class operation all the way. Thanks guys!
