I believe if memory serves me that the kingpins have nylon over the heads on the underside of the baseplate. Also if memory serves me, those baseplates are prone to cracking - at least the 5 or 6 that I had were. I think you'd be better off replacing them with aluminum ones. Unless you're going with...

If memory serves me correctly, I think Rob's road is about as wide as a single car lane, which is what one lane at the Farm Hybrid course was.
