Yes, we have these for ski racing already: Pay at the top of the course and take a run to get your time.... Time compared to the "standard" (NASTAR) time for the course.

But what about the cones? How to automatically count them and keep them from disappearing?

Oregon State Games: Featuring new Tracmate Timer

It's official: With all of the old guys attending the Oregon State Games, I need to hack into the Trackmate timer. Since it only outputs seconds and 1/1000 seconds, I need to add outputs for minutes and hours.

I totally agree with Wes about the length of the strips. We changed our timing system to 2-foot length timing strips. They have lasted for 3 years now, whereas the longer strips would last maybe 1/2 a year because of bending/kinking. Especially on start ramps, you want the short timing strips so the...

I agree with Chris Barker that we should have courses that are dificult enough for the top racers to be truly challenged. I'm sorry we did not achieve that at Hood River last year.

Tape Switches Easier to set up and align. Not triggered if someone crosses the finish line on foot and steps over the switch.
