I arrive in Munich at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19 and fly back to the USA on Tuesday, July 25. I have reserved a compact/economy rental car at the Munich airport, but if someone would like to share the expense a bit, I could try to upgrade to a larger car. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Sorry for the late reply. STL seems to be under a bad luck cloud lately. Goad had broken ribs from snowboarding, Seeger messed up his ankle a while back, Graf has had all sorts of crap happen--car troubles, barn roof getting blown off, etc., and I've been in school and in & out of relationship hell....

After programming a spreadsheet for this, I can tell you that it is not easy to do all of these IF/THEN scenarios ..... Very hard to keep track.
Hence my "in a pinch" endorsement of Method B. It ain't perfect, but it does, as I said, have a certain consistency to it.

I just don't agree with Jonathan that we should revert to qual time in case of a DQ. There's no need for that. Obviously a DQ is slower than the slowest time in that round. In an ideal world, I'd vote for Method D, because it is the closest to "similar conditions" or however JG put it. If it fits really close, you can always use a thin washer or two to widen it out just a bit. I've had good luck with some old conical washers from Motobilt trucks from the '80s.

That offset rear truck will likely help quite a bit, especially if you've been riding stock "standard" trucks. Overall, it sounds like you've given it some thought. Keep noticing what happens. Back off a bit if you have to, try to find the point at which the sliding starts, and keep trying different...
