8mm axle stock

I'll second the question Adam asked, I've been looking on the web for "axle rod" etc. for the raw material to do just what Adam is describing, take out the stock axle and replace it, but so far, I can't find the axle material I would replace it with. Anyone have a pointer to where one could source s...

Unfinished Business

Good 'ol Hobby Hill. I've got unfinished business with that bitch.... Nice looking outlaw spot Wesley. Tight slalom I presume? "unfinished business with that bitch...." Me too Tom, Me too. SST

I'm not sure who's crazier, SST, the coffin run, slalom on a crutch, or DEX for chasing him with a camera. Great stuff!

WT, Yep I know about Tom's race, I already sent him an email - but a head injury is nothing to mess with, and second impacts to those with concussions can be fatal. I've got to play it safe, and let my brain heal up. It's remarkable how well I am doing really, but I've had a dull headache for over 2...

Re: Full Face Helment

Ron, After crashing myself and hearing about geezer-X's crash, I posted on the other site a few weeks ago about the new Giro Remedy. I inquired Judi O. about purchasing a new Giro "Remedy". You are correct the Remedy is replacing the Mad Max. However, the Remedy will not be available for a few mont...

Another one to look at:

Last I heard, Bell bought and owns the "Giro" helment company. Giro was providing a little too much competition.

Looks like a short wait for Giro

Marty, I'm already checking into it, and it looks like the "Mad Max" I was wearing was discontinued. Not much available on the web right now - the site I purchased from before was http://www.jensonusa.com All they have is closeouts in Small size at $50. The replacement appears to be the Giro "Remedy...

I ordered an Unlimited earlier this year. It's as you suspected, two set's of holes at the back of the board. I can't really speak for Roe, but mine was about 8-10 weeks.

Chris -

The concave is about 1/2 inch deep on the Axe II. What I mean if if you put a straight edge across the board at the concave section, and measure in the middle, you'll get the 1/2 half inch.

Marty -

I just needed about 30 seconds more after sending that previous post to change my mind. We'll head up tonight for the exact reasons you listed!

Besides, if it's not raining, I can roll out of bed, and get a early start on the 2000 runs.

Marion,

I'll was planning on calling Marty before we left this afternoon, we can check the weather conditions and possibly postpone driving up until morning if it looks like it will be wet in the morning. Crummy weather here too.

I'll definately update you on any changes to the plan.

Marion, I think Tom is coming up on Friday, but probably will arrive later than Marty and I. Marty and I are still planning on a carpool, but Tom had emailed us that he could not get away from Dublin as early as he would like and would go direct. Hey - you don't happen to have a pet cat do you? I'm ...

Marty - Depending on Tom's schedule - your plan sounds fine to me. Leave Friday, skate all day Saturday (2000 runs recall...) My Roe shipped and should be here soon (in time for Saturday for sure). I'll get out of work early and make way to your house to drive out of town. Once we here from Tom we'l...

New (old) guy just making Introduction

All - I've been lurking here for probably 6 months, reading along and not really taking much action. I was a slalom rider in the mid to late 70's and still have the board a rode then, a pristine Fibeflex Pro-slalom with Trackers and OJ slalom wheels. I've ridden from time to time over the years, and...
