Marty, At the risk of sounding a bit nebulous....My level of racing raised the instant I quit just going along for the ride atop my skateboard and started to TAKE the thing with me...I started riding better just through that change of attitude. Your style will adapt as you think more agressively... ...

Dave, Laughing = hypocrisy manifest ;-) If you really liked mine it was laid up as follows... fiberglass top, three layers of wood to a middle sheet of carbon weave, then three more lams of wood with a carbon bottom sheet... It's pretty stiff compared to some of the stock ones I've been on. Remember...

Alessandro, Bennett is making a comeback and I've heard new trucks should be available soon?? Until then if you can find a Tracker 106 RTX front truck and wedge it 15-20 degrees that should get the front of your deck turning pretty nicely. One of your gullwings might make an OK rear truck while you ...

Tway, How's it going?? I was wondering if you had any issues with baseplate wheel bite with that narrow of a hanger? Marcos, I found the "beaker stoppers" at Ace hardware in the area where all the nuts and bolts are, They carried two types, black rubber which is a bit harder, and green neoprene ones...

Brian, Obviously the wider the hanger is, any misalignment(s) will be magnified... I rode a stock Seismic in front for awhile, which had pretty nice axles and hanger faces... but I noticed a slight difference in both speed and turning precision when I started using Biltin bearings. For the next big ...

Mike, How bad of pavement are you talking?? I have experience with 74a (Red) and 78a (Blue) 3dm Avalons….(they’re called Hot Spots now) and I ride them on tarred and graveled type pavement. They work good for smoothing out the ride and are quite a bit faster than harder wheels on the same pavement…I...

CHIxILL GS 7ply, front and rear Radikals, trimmed 84a Avilas in front and coned 80a Avalons in back was the rig I used to snag 4th place on the San Marcos, TX GS hill. Clay, Just an observation about the Pro-design plastic caps... they seem to be made of a plastic that's harder than other brands. My Pro-tecs seem to grip the pavement when I take to my knees in a botched slalom run, which pitches me onto my hands. It's really bad on seal coated blacktop... You may ...

WOW!!! Glad everyone is OK....!! I wear a Bell "Bellistic" I think Paul Howard wears one also?? Gary, I'd take a couple of baseplates if you decide to do some... Any idea of the angles you'd be making?? A 60* front and a 30* rear may be nice as thats close to how they'll get wedged anyway...(well, at least by me) :-? Also, maybe "slotting" the rear mounting holes just a little bit might be a n...

My experience has the stiffer wood ply decks faster through straight-ish TS type courses... I think Mr. Maysey may have proven this already......
