CC - I've found that the easiest way to keep up with the forums at Slalomskateboarder.com is to use the [Search] function, but rather than entering anything to search for, simply leave the form blank and press the Search button - You'll get a list similiar to the summary page at NCDSA.

Just for kicks I printed one off a cheap inkjet printer that turned out okay, but a .pdf is definitely the long term format solution.

And I've got a decent quote somewhere analogizing slalom and surfing, I'll dig it up and put it back in this post.

Flat wasn't the worst part, the constant "chinese water torture drip" of traffic was the b*tch. May I suggest contacting Ricky Byrd? He came up with a set of ramp drawings that have quickly become the GRS standard (Mississippi, St. Louis, Georgia).

Having a "standard" ramp can do nothing but help further the discipline.

Gary Fluitt had a course setting tool that looked indispensable.

4 small diameter pvc pipes connected so that a sliding rectangle could be maintained, allowing each lane to be marked simultaneously and accurately (unlike my spelling).

heh heh I don't mind deferring the fees from my race - next year Byrd, Goad, and hopefully you (Tway) will work together as a series and get the insurance cost WAY down. There's only about 40 different racers who attend these events outside of California. Somehow I don't see people complaining about...

From what I understand (and I will post details as they are revealed to me), USA Rollersports sanctioning includes $2 million in liability for $50.

Each racer must be a member of USA Rollersports at $15 per year

I plan on paying each racers membership out of entry fees.
