Splitfire First generation

i have a first generation splitfire rear on an orion baseplate. i was wondering what this peice does.

Image

(this isnt my truck, but it has the same thing)

does it just keep the peice that goes into the pivot cup in the hanger?

Wedging

What is an appropriate wedging for a radikal claw and tail on a tight slalom board? im thinking around 18.5-19" wheel base. Bushings that i will be putting in are most likely Black and Green, and in the front, Clear and Red. It's likely i will lathe a clear to a half sphere.

Thanks,
- Luke

i love my splitfire rear (107 first gen w/ orion baseplate). the traction is amazing compared to trackers and rads(dragon tail). I have mine dialed in at -5° with lathed radikal bushings (black/green) and flat washern top and large washer on bottom. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e148/jujubeswith...
