When I was a kid growing up we had a couple of drought summers where it was so hot walking on the street would give you blisters on your soles. Every year, about this time, I have to get reconditioned to the heat for yardwork and skating. Water and Clif bars are your friend. I should be used to it a...

How did I know Wesley would be talkin' mustard-based sauce. I'll won't say any more, people have been shot over less important matters. I haven't had bbq in almost 20 years...vegetarian and all (I'll spare y'all the details of a bbq tofu sandwich...I'm a bit embarassed about it myself). But man, I s...

Wesley said: "If you ask me, there hasn't been a good ride on a Sunday since Cale Yarborough and David Pearson retired, but that's just me." Hell, boy, you see the finish of the Darlington race a month or so back? Best finish I EVER seen...not that that's saying much, but I bet it was the best finis...

Henry, first let me say I am heartened to see your *very* recent truck post over on NCDSA...glad to see you weren't run off after all. I WANT to give $10 toward your board...and I WANT you to enjoy it. You didn't come onto the forums begging for equipment, and I think a lot of the negativity surroun...

Ouch. Actually, Wesley, it was the plastic hanger the bottles were on. Don't need it anyway, since my angry little parrot is doing a good enough job of keeping my fingers perpetually bloody lately. Anyway, I prefer a non-biohazardous course marking method...the former body piercer in me. Oh yeah, di...

1) Get faster.

2) Get to a few more races than last year.

3) Improve my form.

4) Get a new Roe.

5) Get a better picture than the one I'm about to send in.

Another option...at one of my practice spots I went out one night and painted a flat grey dot every 2 feet. You can't see them unless you are looking for them (even then it is difficult), and you can set any spacing you want quickly without measuring based on the 2 ft. dots. For guys like me who act...
