The race was run that way last year. It works.

We submited permit applications to Hood River asking for the "good" road on both days, but were denied, so this reinforces the plan to have Qualifying on Sat and H2H on Sunday.

I've tried one for indoor ski race training

It was a large fixed-incline surface with a "carpet" that moved uphill. We could fit 3 skiers on at once. There was a remote-control that one skier would have for panic stopping of the device and for speed increase/decrease. Spots were painted on the moving surface at intervals for slaloming around....

It appears that the axles are a hex head bolt-- correct?

That is, the axles do not have threads on the outboard end, but the hex head is built into the axle so that you must remove the axle to get new wheels installed.

Is that correct?

I missed the part about it being for MAJOR and MAINS.

Seems you and I agree that the ISSA should not be FORCING organizers to have FREE Junior classes in races.....

But yet, if we can encourage the younger racers somehow on the local small contests ..... some will show up in the big races.

a race could be overwhelmed with 14 years old who've never seen a slalom board but "want to try it." But wouldn't every race organizer be pleasantly surprised to be overwhelmed with 14-year old entries?
