[2009] Finland - wtf is that? June 27, 2009

Yes, we try to get part of family, mainly with great assistant and help with Heiko. Naah, anyway even we suck with speed, we still have some action here in dark North. Normally we have weekly practice sesions on Sundays at Helsinki Stadion park place http://www.ojankaivajat.org/gallery/albums/userpi...

I think world record should be bases on riders input, not steepness of surface on track. It would be silly to start to run 110 hurdless on down hill slopes just to make new world records. Basic idea of world record should be that times should be comparable, and that will not happen if track is built...

50 cones toughts For outsiders running 50 cones in downhill slope for world record is as mysterious as running 110 hurdless downhill. Setup it self could be reflecting quite much to 110 hurdeless. To get full respect for world record times, they should be run as similar environments as possible. Sur...

Qucik note from dark North :) One fator to add small inaccuracy is also defined distance between cones. I mean just having 1cm per cone, that would mean ~50cm in total and having only 1cm per cone is quite tough target. So it easily mans like 0.1 sec converted to time. So why specify cone distance? ...

Not to run out of cones, one could make circle with diameter of 50 meters and lay down there cones on every 160cm, so one round will be 100 cones. Then you just start to count rounds done without cones down :)

Question is mainly how system checks switch, is it constant flow of current or does it look just for voltage, if first one then cable can be long. In both cases cable cam be long but there is slight time shift compared to real times related later case but even then times can be compared to each other.

Re: V2.0

The new version brings you live results to the web. No more waiting for results, no more looking for results, and for the organizer - no more posting results after a long day at the race. Its all live its all free and its all good. Any chance to get target web page to be configurable? Would be nice...

Re: Trackmate and RU ready hybrid

I have managed to wire the Trackmate system to the RU Ready digital screen to display results to racers at a larger size than is usual, in effect using the RUready screens (4" LCD) to display at the head of each lane the elapsed time in to the 100th. (1000ths below 10 seconds) Michael Can you share...

Does Trackmate support time difference (and lane winner) measurement for parallel?
Or is this just based on measuring full times of both lanes and then manually calculating difference?
If yes how setup is done?
