I made a proposal to the Board last night that we move forward with a logo contest. If we get agreement (which I hope we will), all that remains is to work out the details. If/when I hear anything, I or one of the other Board members will post it here.

I usually use a Venom conical and a modified Radikal in front and double Venom green barrels in back. So some of my setup is like Ramon's. But then again, he's way faster than I am (faster than damn near everybody, most of the time) so take my advice however you like. :-)

If you're just really starting out, that hybrid course will be difficult. It's pretty fast, and the cones come at you pretty quickly at the bottom. I like your attitude, though; that's the spirit!

I agree. Five hundredths of a second is not insignificant, even over a 20-second race. Swimming, track & field (from the 100 meters to the marathon), drag racing (?)--if it beats the existing record, it's a new record. Why should slalom be any different?
