Mike as it is your event it's your choice. Since your asking, I will suggest you ask the riders attending your event.

Maybe 1,2,3 split for each event this way more of them have a chance at the pot. Or you could tell them you are giving away any and buy me a ticket :)

If it is available it should be used. Most people do not have the display and are using trackmate or such that offers the capabilities to handle .oooo timing.

The cone books are still the best system for everyone. Long courses and blind corners do hinder this method. Some people simply don't want to be bothered. Perhaps someone who has used this 10% rule can step in here. From what I remember, the 10% rule applies to the fastest qualifiers time in said division. Must have offended someone!

If you make a DQ a knock out then you will definitely save some racers travels expenses. It's a great way to discourage participation.

It's fine to have a higher DQ penalty for Pro's and Am's but there is always a chance of a comeback. It has been done before. Many people will not like that one.

If racer A gets 0 points for missing an event and still manages enough points to beat one or any of the riders that received points from the same system for the events then he deserves his higher placing.

Then we just give the race sanction after the event is over as well.

We can also award points dependant upon attendance too! Oh wait that's the other guys plan. What does it really matter as you don't do a damn thing when they set course outside of the box anyways.
