Interesting thread... In my opinion it would be better to have the opportunity to have more main competitions than the regulated 3 or 4 in each area. A set of rules that must be fulfilled for each status should be set up by ISSA and then the status of each race should be set by how the competition i...

If Paris are trying to get the World Championships (and if they succeced) how will that affect European Championships? If we are talking in the name of Majors/Mains/Primes then only one of them can be a major, I guess the worlds.

I aint sayin nuthin

A cyberslalom course in 9 seconds gives an average speed of 5,9m/s ((174feet*0.305)/9). This means you travel 6mm or 1/4 of an inch per 1/1000 sec. 2 questions for you: 1) what are the odds that 3 persons out of 15 that run a cyberslalom course under 10 seconds happen to get the same time down to 1/...

Re: Timing Accuracy tests

I will make some tests of the Chronocone accuracy against a calibrated traceable standard. We have several calibrated pulse generators, counters, and digital oscilloscopes at HP where I work. GREAT! That's pretty much what I wanted. I think the tests that I did where ok, but if you have better gear...

Accuracy tests between Trakmate, Chronocone and EttSexEtt

With the 'new' computer driven timings systems at hand there is no doubt that competitions could run smoother, results can get out faster and errors are less prone to affect the final standings. There wont be any mixing of lanes, typos when moving times from timer to spreadsheet and such. One questi...
