a guy posted on NCDSA a few days ago- he's been slaloming with his son, he had the long post about thalidimide but he definitely needs a short deck (he's using randals right now) to get going with. I think he had trouble finding decks. He is too heavy for the deck....but his son would be perfect for...

Hans, I really like the idea of similarly paced racers racing together. At one of my July 4th races I attempted to do something just like that. A unexpected thing happened. In many of the events we found we were ending up with similar pairings. So for instance if I was paired with Terrence Kirby in ...

The ones from the USA were used for making porcelin fixtures like sinks toilets bathubs etc. They were "slip funnels" which were used to protect the mouths of the porcelin molds- the abrasive raw materials would wear away at the polyethylene plastic instead of the molds mouth. ISSA its role then- Its role Now
My thoughts for what it's worth. (and it's not like I had that much experience in slaloming in Europe- just a few comps.) In the USA we have had poorly run regional slalom contests for years. But with Skateboarder magazine and some USA organizations we managed to get a somewhat recognizeable format ...

Unquestionably- the best winter training is Alpine Snowboarding (freecarving) in Hardboots on a race specific deck or a if you want thigns less intense a freecarve specific deck. 1. Also just because you lower cone limits and racers feel ready to really give it their all. They might go into a section of the run thinking....."hmmm if I am off my line I might hit 3 cones....but if I'm on it I'll run it clean" and often that is the case.....especially in competition..................

KEY cones- or weighting cones.
I am all for faster and more technically difficult courses. To set these and not have 1/2 DQ (that 1/2 being newer racers and less skilled racers) you NEED lower cone penalties. A straight course with cones 8 feet on center vs one with 7 feet on center on a mild pitch...which is more technically dif...

I just want to see some fast intense racing. Now....can we break down the results into regions?
How about-
North East
Mid atlantic
South East
Overall East Coast etc.
The same for Midwest and West coast regions.
and so on.
Also if only Americans are considered for US placing, how does this affect results?
Great Job Gary!

Or should we leave it intact.
I think a good number of topics could be condensed.
