300 users - September 2003
Registered users aproaching 300! I know it's nothing compared to the numbers of slalomers out there but it is still a kind of a measurement of the international slalom community. To register yourself on this site is an act you only do if you have a serious interest for it. The day we reach 1000 I'd ...

Ok Vlad. I will stop enoying you. I just wanted to make sure there where no way I could persuade you into coming to Morro Bay. This was of course very selfish since I was only thinking of myself. For ME it would have been a lot more fun having your there. Of course you shouldn't go if you don't feel...

By the way the championships is closing in. Only one week left almost. The big favorite is of course Marcus Seyffarth. He seems to be ahead of the pack in Stockholm. Never lost a race. Except in Paris where he lost against a Swiss and me actually. But that was in GS and he didn't go for it in his se...

Vlad wrote "I choose the Ridolli's way. You know, the one guy who'd been spanking Luca not long ago....I just turn around and leave." Well that sometimes can have its price. A proof that you don't have to have been skating/slaloming since 1895 to have good comments and ideas. But... in your last post (and Vlads by the way) I finally found something alarming. I just put down the virtual slalom course used in "the other" forum. I tried my best (even though it was on wet asphalt) but my best times ended up around 11 sec. My self confidence got broken in pieces. The best guys had times well under 9 sec. I was just about to quit slalom skating. But luckily b...

Funny little tight story from Paris. The Audience in Paris found often that the AM tight slalomers where faster than the PRO's. What they didn't know was that the PRO's had a tighter cone distance (2,0m) compared to the AM's (2,5m). So let the PRO's have tighter courses if they want to. It will only...

I checked on my favorite car rental site http://www.autoeurope.com and they charge SEK 1400 for 2 days.
But maybe since the hotel is so close to the site maybe car is not needed even. But then you have to find a way to get from Nice to Antibes there and back.

Michael, the ISSA rules weren’t built in one day. You have to try better to knock them out. Wes, In the last hybrid course you are suddenly going in to the course from the left. Is that an intentional "trick" or a mistake? I think I agree with Jani though that you have to loosen up your trucks. When Jani says tighter courses at that time when courses already were very tight means VERY tight. The technique for that is pure wiggling. I have never seen anyone doing that on tight trucks. Sure you don't get as much speed b...

Punkterna ovan gör att det tar mer tid. 5. Risk att det blir en bana som folk inte gillar. Dvs för svår e...
