Re: West Coast/BC Slalom events
Hi Claude
Thanks for the invite out to Ottawa.
It would be cool to finally meet you and the rest of the Eastern crew in person,
and maybe get some hints on how to go faster!
I won't be able to make it for the nationals at the end of June,
but I may be out that way sometime in July or August for a family visit,
so I'll bring my gear and skate with you guys then.
Thanks
Dan J

Hi Marcel
Just read you post about Slalom in BC... Whereabouts in BC are you?
A group of us has been practicing slalom at Lafarge Park in Coquitlam on Saturday mornings for the last couple of years.
Spearheaded by Boris and I. We have an email list that we monitor and would gladly add you to it!
Here's Boris' email - boris@blueb.biz
and mine, Dan Jackson - vakatane@me.com
Hope to see you there, now that the good weather is here.
DJ

Re: West Coast/BC Slalom events
Marcel, glad to see your post. With all the DH and freeriding going on up in BC, I'm sure you're not the only one who might be interested in doing some slalom also. I've always wondered why I haven't heard of more races going on up there. In addition to Mig's suggestions: Do you know Malcolm Stooke? He used to live in BC, maybe still does. See if you can get a hold of him. He might have some cones and be willing to set 'em up now & then. Chris Iversen and Brad Kasha are in Alberta somewhere. Send them a PM and rattle their cages. If you want a bit of a drive, there are also some pretty cool guys in and around Seattle, including John Stryker and Brad Jackman. Good luck!

Hi Marcel,
You should try to contact Boris Miladinovic via PM here on the forum. He is in BC and will let you know what will be going on in their scene this next season. And you contact me by PM once you will be in ON/QC.
Good luck!

I'm interested in getting into racing slalom and checking out events, but I am cut off from the USA and live in BC, Canada and can travel to BC and AB easily...sadly i cant find anything out here for slalom events. I should be in ON/Quebec in October. Please help share some maybe hidden info so i can get started this year. Thanx.
