84 a is the softest I go. I have heard of some guys drilling holes in bushings to make them deader or softer but I ride mine stock and its perfect.

My softer bushing pack under pressure and change shape. The steering becomes loose and preload adjustment needs to be tightened. This loosening doesn’t affect the ride at all.
Still testing, after all these years.

PVD bushing modifications:
I would like to know if any bushing modifications have been experimented with for PVD's? Has anyone tried cutting and reshaping the bushings to give different riding characteristics?
If so, what is the effect?
