Trackers? Ugggh... I see enough of those everyday on my porch in boxes, let alone put 'em on one of my skateboards. I'm sticking with Randals, though I will a least try the Seismics on that Bozi I won.

which can't quite make 30" between the axles. Leastwise not with my Randals

Pivot the trucks to one side with your hands and have them take the measurement on the other side:) Seriously though, try some Trackers on the board.

My understanding was that Brian's intent was to broaden the equipment requirments for the "longboard" race in light of how about half of us have bought or won Bozi 36" cutaways (some of us more than once) which can't quite make 30" between the axles. Leastwise not with my Randals...My 38" Fibreflex pintail makes 30" if I eat a big breakfast and stnd right in the middle, all Bobby Piercy stylee. Whatever it takes...

I acquiesce to popular demand that the Longboard Class is 30" axle to axle; however, I hope that every now and then we can see a "Hyper Longboard" race division where the specs are 42-inch long deck with a 36-inch wheelbase. I would also love to see a "Super Hyper Longboard Race" where you have to ride 54-inch or longer board (i.e. Jam Boards, Ed Economy, etc.).

Is 30" axle to axle official then? If so, I'm gonna need a new stick. My BDS "Longboard" has 19.5" hole to hole, and maybe 23.5" axle to axle.

I gots an old dresser that I tore apart... Nothing to do in this crappy weather...

I smell a project!!!

As long as the longboard courses are set in a way to accommodate longer decks, it’s fair.

I have a 42-inch long LBK model with a 36-inch wheelbase, which runs about the same as my Cali TS 30-inch base board, so the 30-inch rule is not going to hurt our team’s performance on any longboard course.

I agree with Curt. 30" axle to axle seems to be a good length, and a lot of skaters have already purchased decks specifically to fit this requirement. If the length requirement would be increased, I doubt I would purchase another deck to fit the new requirement. The standard has to be left alone to allow the class to grow.

We need to leave the longboard class at 30 inches axle-to-axle.

I had Rick Howell build a custom Ick longboard specifically for our 30 inch axle-to-axle requirement that we raced all last season.

The 30" axle-to-axle requirement works well and creates a longer, flowing type of turn that is easy to do, fun for beginners through pros, and more in tune with classic street longboard cruising.

It's a great class. Let's leave it alone and let it grow. this has been our most popular class, and will continue to grow in the future.
