Speaking of Oakwood, for those traveling to LaCosta, a possible session is brewing for this sunday. Probably should start aroung 6pm. Less traffic and less heat.

By the way, who is planning to travel to LaCosta and represent the DC Outlaw Boys Club. Of course, Parsons and I are going.

I have to attend a wedding Saturday, but I'd love to hit Oakwood on Sunday or even some drafting at Occoquan. Maybe even a Vans session B or A. Anyone up??
Anthony, Since nobody responded to my call-to-session, I rode the G-P&R instead.

Heck yeah, I’ll ride oakwood with you this Sunday. How about 1pm? Or I might even be able to hit it as early as noon. It's your call.

So, is anyone interested in running cones tomorrow at the P&R or anywhere else? Or how about GS at Oakwood? The weather should be nice, 75°F and dry.

I was skating around on the Mall and saw that the ramp to 12th St is closed for some reason. The pitch isn't great but good for a tight slalom.

17th next to the White House and Ellipse was closed to cars on Saturday. I had a blast practicing pumping down the hill to the mob at the WWII memorial.

I think we should have a Central Park style race in the Mall on Madison and Jefferson the one way streets right in the middle. (Oh wait, I forgot, only the pea-brained Ablab's golden child can skate this 'sacred' ground.) Image

Slappy SASSY is to close to SASS, the Foundation I just started. Snakehead Anglers Sportsman Society

It won't be like Bassmasters tournaments, we will not have slot limits, five fish limits and all the fish must be dead at the time of weigh in!!

The first tournament of the Potomac river chapter is in just a few weeks. Blast off time will be at 6:00 am sharp!!

I'm calling my skate association SASSY. Slalom Association Sooper Skaters Yeah.

I will charge dues and create a rule book (with lots of pictures for a few of the mentally slower skaters that have problems with words and sentences). My association will be the best one yet–we're filing for nonprofit Formula 409 organization status. This means we can start the first youth conehead school.

Hopefully I can get a SASSY forum here with the rest of the imaginary slalom skate associations.

DC Session

Post by Anthony Smallwood » Wed May 26, 2004 2:33 am

Doug, myself and a few others are starting a bi-weekly Wednesday or Thursday night skate session 7:30-9:30, starting in Adams Morgan and going over thru the embassies.
Nothing too crazy, just some nice cruisers and a poached 7-story parking structure.
We'll meet at the tennis courts in Adams Morgan and go from there.
First session is tomorrow.
Beers at Asylum afterwords.

Picked up an early (81-82) Duane Peters stick with Gullwings and P-P mini cubes today. A buddy was throwing it out and I had to save him the trouble. Rode it at the Van's park tonite. Sweeet!

There's a party tomorrow nite at Signal 66 in DC.
Millionaire Reverends are playing along with a few others.
Located in Blagden Alley between 9th & 10th and M & N Streets.
Anyone up for skating around the city then heading over to the party?
Could be a good nite for a longboard tour. Who's up?

Dillon.
I've got a set of those blades somewhere!! I'll dig them up and send them to ya'' (They SUCK) I think cutting down a set of real skate blades and drilling them would be 10x better! I had a sail and never got going over 10 mph and it was too much like work! They won't hold an edge
ENJOY!! (while you can)
