I think were skating Friday night after all.

This is cool, if you zoom out and look about 900 yards to the northeast there is what apears to be a large drainage ditch!

95-Franconia Road-right on Beulah Street- right onto Walker Lane-take your first right-you're there.

MAP

I'd wait for a Friday night session if I were you. Unless you want to skate with two fully grown men who'd be draining their European car batteries with Depeche Mode and Duran Duran for a couple of hours.

If I can skate, it'd be tonight. There might be a problem with that...

Click on the video, get a downloading ticket, wait from 0 to 60 seconds, a link will appear, click on the link, watch your white ass in the dark.

Here's a 3 minute, 17MB movie from last night. 6ft on the flattish hill with 1 push.

Press on FREE and wait a bit for the link to appear. Then download.

Sunday night we skate and shoot the big hill that is fast.

2pm, it's raining like sh&& in Tysons and dry as a bone in Alexandria. I will be at Walker if it stays dry. 1320 sounds like a fun option though. Im in.

The World's greatest play-by-play announcer, Skip Caray, has a new name for the Washington major league baseball outfit: "The G-nats."

I know this is so off-topic and Vlad has no clue what I'm talking about, but I wanted to post this in a place that would irritate the most people.

Be sure and bring a broom to the next DC Outlaw Race: it'll be just another way to SWEEP Washington!

Walker tomorrow night? Eight? If not I’ll just go to Walmart and stock up on Chinese products labeled made in the USA. After that, I’ll go to the 1320 club, cry in my beer and watch skanky women dance wearing nothing but G strings and pasties!

One of the best album covers of all time BTW. That album brings back so many memories for me. Being a pissed off teenager and finding the straight-edge movement...still brings a smile to my face.

I own an original pressing of that record with the ultra rare DIY photo-copied sleave. The one of two peices of vinyl I own.

I was always a Dischord kid, more than any other punk scene. Though I am a bit young to have been around there during it's salad days when I got into hardcore all the dischord bands were definately huge influences on me.

That and emo art school girls driving 80s Volvos wagons with Fugazi stickers on the rear window....

Oh the memories.

To make this even remotely slalom related. I ran cones for the first time last night in 2 weeks. I ran a 5k at a 8m30s pace then did 20x5.5' OC for 45mins (Vlad would be proud). maybe Minor Threat or Dag Nasty on m ipod would have motivated me more.
