You bet - it's gonna really rock this year, being WR's 50th and all!Earl Cephas wrote:No problem! We'll see you at the Farm. Way to rip out in CA! Guess that new stick is working out OK
...it's not the stick, it's the rider!!

Actually, I'd have to say I'm faster in tight on the Gecko, but I rode my Fullbag Red Baron in the hybrid, so who knows?

Earl - thanks for the offer. I know that's twice now I haven't come through to hook with you guys for some riding, so sorry for that. Next time down (Labor Day?) we'll make it happen.
I didn't realize I could carry a skateboard on the plane un-checked - which I just did to CA - so will do that next time too.
See y'all down on the FARM!

Mike - unfortunately, your phone number is on my computer at work in Burlington. Sorry - it was a really bad week. Anyway, once I started packing the two computers and gear I needed to work on this trip, the skate gear just became too much more to take on the plane. I'll have to catch you guys next time...labor day weekend possibly.
Ride on!

OK - I'm available to skate in the mornings - up until about 2pm - Fri. Sat. and Sun....as long as the weather is good of course...and if the temp is 90+ then I'll pass. If we can do it great; if not, no worries...it's gotta be easy on this trip.

I'll bring the Fullbag Red Baron (20" WB) and some 86/83 70mm Zigs.Mike Ohm wrote:Yo Floyd, bring something in the middle. We will roll out the red carpet for you. You can Metro it into Alexandria and I will pick you up. We can go BIG or just a training session. Both spots are about 1 mile away from each other.

I can get the Metro at the Woodley / Zoo stop.
Saturday day is likely best for me but weather could change that.
I hope we can get it together!

Yo - DC crew...I'm in town Thursday night 7/3 through Sunday about 5pm. Staying near the Cathedral. Any chance of some pre-Nationals training this weekend? I can only bring one board and limited gear so a nice hybrid would be cool, but let me know if you plan a certain course type and I'll bring that stick.

Hmm!
Well, that means you just made about .003 cents off the piece I purchasd to repair my Trackmate,
I know it sucks for you guys this year thinking about hitting our race as it is almost mid week and one day if you are thinking about it head up early so we can hit a sweet spot for a few days of cones in another spot we can run anything.
Thanks again for coming up last year and if things work out you'll be back up in a few years when it becomes a weekend event again. Unless we change the datesor the venue. Right now we need the financial contribution and affiliation with our only major sponsor.
Take Care guys and hope to see you this summer at the Farm or Antrim if nowhere else.

Are you guys still doing Friday night walker sessions?
Also if you don't have anything to do on saturday nights we have a ton of people that meet at East Coast Board Co. in Fairfax and we all go out riding for a few hours usually until like 1 or 2am. We usually ride a garage and a few different hills. Just given you the heads up on that.

I think I still have a slalom board.
I think that is everything is just right and all the stars are aligned in absolute perfection I just might be able to ride with you guys again one day. I will just need to be off of work and if it can be on a Sunday maybe I will even drag Aaron to a race too since he works all the time including Saturdays.
I hope all you guys are doing good. I have been surfing a lot. Bought some new boards. There's gonna be surf tomorrow in VB and up and down the coast. Thats where I will be tomorrow.

P-n-R
I was @ the P-n-R yesterday and it needs a good clean-up.....w/a blower and the area where we always used to set courses has a 5 ft wide swath of spilled oil or burnt rubber going down the length of the course....we may be able to skate to the right of this but the sun will have to bleach this clean....plus the asphalt is getting a bit weathered....there's plenty of loose gravel throughout. I rode in the next lot where we normally parked our cars and where Vlad used to roll before he started killing BP's courses....in fact, it's where I met Q & Bertleboy. I did ride my slalom board for the 1st time in ages...twas good to be out on it. Kenny & I are working on something in Baltimore...if the city doesn't quash it like they did last time we may be in for a cool race venue. Fingers crossed....until then, rip the bowls!

I got a chance (with the help of the DC Outlaws in a roundabout way) to check out the COSS guys in action out here in Colorado today. They are a fast bunch and looked like a real tight group of riders. Reminded of my days with the DC Outlaws. Anyway, glad to see that John Dillon and others (Brian, Mike, Jeff, PADan, Wesley, and the new guys) are keeping the spirit alive in the DELMARVA and beyond area.
I'll be keeping up with the DC summer racing from out west online. Have fun and get some turns & slams in for me.
