I walked back up course with Andy Macdonald at the 03 Elsinore event, he was waay into it as well. Good to see all around skaters into it, Olson included.
In the last number of Juice Magazine (Issue #57 2004) I saw this interesting question/answer from the interview with Bob Burnquist by Dave Duncan and Terri Craft...
Is slalom skating something you like to participate in?
The first time I ever skated in an official slalom contest was at The La Costa event. I got a new board from one of Bostik's friends. (Thank you for the board, I love it). It was much fun. You get going so fast and you have to have your rythm on. I did an easy course compared to what I saw later on that day. I remember seing Steve Olson going off! It was a great experience from the riding to the whole scene. I would love to do it again.
