I bumped into this video from one of the Pirate Series events 2009.

These are local events and get-togethers, once a month during the winter months. The spot is an close to flat spot with excellent surface just outside a shopping centre. Great for races where all skill levels can participate.

The 2010/2011 series should start end of September, or early October this year.
