Cascade Slalom Association - 2nd Race – May 23, 2004

Well, the second race of the Cascade season is in the books. A great time was had by all. Thanks to everyone who made the long trek here to Seattle from Oregon – you guys are awesome. The weather held out despite a less than favorable forecast ( I never had any doubts). Special thanks to Dennis Hightower for helping me secure the Group Health Campus, to Pat Chewning for his Chronocone Timing System and to my wonderful wife, Amy, for running the timing, keeping the times all straightened out and keeping us on schedule!
Also, I wanted to give special recognition to Doug Hitch for being our announcer and color-commentator. Doug started the Cascade Slalom Association back in the spring of 1976. There were at least a half dozen of us skating today that competed in the races that Doug put on back then! Thanks Doug!
