Weather is looking up for Saturday...latest projected temperature is in the low 50's! That works.

Weather is looking cold for Saturday but clear. The spot gets sun all day so if the wind stays down we should be fine.

Marion..Yes it's late here and I'm awake AGAIN, found out today one of my twin daughters needs surgery (kind of elective) but I thout it was gonna be done today in house. But NO!! the surgeon wants her l'il 60 lb body to go general anesthetic ! Anyone dealt with that delima?? I've been put under several times..But I gotta sign off on my little girl! If any fathers out there have a word of wisdom, I'd appreciate it!
(already consulted 2 friend surgeons and their sealed doue to the age (9yrs)

DownHilll Billies and Any One Else Interested (All Are Welcome):

The Statesville Skate Jam (Slalom, Carving, and what have ya) will be Saturday January 15th.

Arrive at my house any time in the morning and we will look to head out to The Spot at Noon.
(Drop me an e-mail for directiions to my house).

The local crew is mostly into carving and bombing but are stoked to have the slalom crew in for a jam. The format will be that there will be no set format and we will just skate, hang out, take pics, and just get to know each other. I am hoping that it will also be a chance for us newbie slalomers to learn something and practice..

I can host up to 5 or 6 at my house for any of you who want to stay over Saturday night if you don't mind crashing in the basement. As I have said before, my house is within walking distance to a great sports bar, pizza place, chinese takeout, subshop, fancier restaurants, etc. so that night we might all mozy down to the local sports bar to hang out and grab some grub.

I look forward to meeting my new skate buds in person.
