Bluegill Rocks!
Dude, that's what I'm thinking. The pavement is exceptional. I am going to check it out more this weekend when I can slip away from my yard chores.
Thanks for the feedback....now all we have to do is figure out how to organize the darn thing. Working on that now as we speak.
Jack Smith from Bahne has already offered some prizes for an event of the DHB and Keith Hollien said that if we can put together an event he would show up and encourage some of the Radikal boys. This hill has to be seen to be appreciated fully. I have not been out to the Pump Station but from what I can tell this hill is close to it in length and grade.
What we may do is try to throw a session together when the regional guys can come up, you, 66, Ga Tom, Ben Barkey from WV, Marc Fuentes, Wesley Tucker, my local boys (they aren't slalomers yet but can ride down a freakin hill fast as sh*t) etc. We could work out the bugs and come up with some agreement on the course. I am thinking this could be a 50 cone course plus but I need to ride it a bunch before I can say tha for sure.
I am going to get some pics this weekend to post.
Talk to you soon. Look for a post on here next week with details.
OOOHHHH Bluegill......

Marion,
Looks like youve got a contest site now.....
A GS on that would be a screamer and the pavement looks butter......

Marty, Lemonboy, and crew:
When you get a chance go to our website:
www.downhillbillies.org
Check out the new hill my local DHB'ers found while I was down in Athens. Be patient, the video takes a while to upload (we are working to improve it).....can't you just see an Athens like GS on that hill?
It is completely without traffic and the pavement is perfect! It's 40 minutes from the Soap Box Derby Hill...we could have a weekend of racing like Athens with Super GS on one day here and then hybrid/tight at Hobby Park the next...
What do you think?

Well there is something we all have in common....paying our skating dues with domestic chores....here is a quote from my wife this week: "Don't plan on skating Saturday...you have bushes to plant!"
I can tell you right now that those bushes are going to get planted early Saturday morning because you two dudes are way too freakin fast and this newbie has got to practice. I won't be catching either of you but by golly I am going to give it my best!

Marty: Man, this isn't fair...You dudes had way too much fun down in Athens after I had to high tail it back to Carolina! Geez....Taco Mac? Gift Beers drank by the gifter? New nicknames like "Lemonboy" dubbed?
Man, I have some catching up to do when we all get back together in the same place!
Tod Oles: How's it feel to become a future legend and a Lemonboy all in the same weekend?
Joe I: Give me a shout when you get a minute...no rush...just catching up.

Nkay....
Guy with the camera?
I guess it stems from nicknaming Oles "Lemonboy" at Taco Mac. I noticed in a post he's trying to change it to "Lemonhead." Sorry Oles, that one's copyrighted already.....
Quote fer the weekend..
"The stupid crap we do that seems funny after 15 beers...."

Marion,
You and JH are tooo nice. The race at Trade was my fourth time on any hill in 26 years and they were all in the prior month, I wasn't kidding. Over the summer I plan to hit Trade and practice some more GS, Hybrid & tighty wiggle 5.5 ft stuff.
The slalom stoke is burnin again so where ever we session will be just fine. I have to say the coolest thing about slalom though is the people.
C-ya soon.
Oh btw, I got ahold of photo boy. Thanks for the tip on Hollien's site, I'm off to it next.

Marty,
Drop me an email... I think I have email addresses for both Bobby and Greg.
karr@downhillbillies.org
Farnum's videos are on Keith Hollien's site:
www.keithhollien.com
I agree with JH...dude, you have been secretly training in some hidden hill somewhere preparing for this big come back. Dude, you were killing it. Gave me something to work toward. Maybe we can get together on Trade Street again this summer or at Exit 46 in South Carolina or maybe you can come up and ride the Soap Box Derby Hill in Winston Salem.
It was great meeting you and hanging out during the day leading up to the racing. Talk to you soon.

Marty, you should be able to send Greg a PM through this site. One other guy who was taking photos was Bobby Brozovich, aka Bobby B. I don't have any contact info for him, but you might try posting on NCDSA and asking him to contact you.
Also, FWIW, I think Jeff Farnum from Florida was shooting some video on both Friday and Saturday, so you might also mention that (on NCDSA) to see if he got some footage of you.
Good job in Athens! Not bad for a 20-some year layoff from racing.
Who was that photo boy?

Anybody have any idea of who that photog was with the trip flash at Trade Street? I saw a pic posted of Oles with the name Greg Fadell. Right guy? Anybody got any contact info on him? Any other photogs there?
Thanks Ya'll
