Asheville North Carolina 2010 slalom contest?

Post by Karl Floitgraf » Mon Jun 15, 2009 5:45 am

So I took a trip up to Asheville NC, it's a great town with a vibrant culture and some very cool folks. It's in the mountains and there are a lot of great spots to skate a long with a killer skate park.

I met the Flip Side Skate shop owner Krista and she was very stoked about the idea of having a contest there in downtown asheville. She might be able to get the road shut down!

New Photos with the new pavement.

I am working on the permits now. If you are interested in helping out or just want to talk about it please email me.

Asheville is one of the coolest towns in the south, nice skatepark too. The ISSA BOD is working to set ourselves up to assist races new and old. We would like to help and be involved.

Thanks for your words of encouragement Joe. I will keep everyone posted on developments.

Is the group buy in for insurance happening in 2010?

That street and the buildings look a lot like Hood River.... Looks like a great place to run a race!
