I think Jourdan has quite an extensive snowboard background, so maybe he can help "translate" skate slalom for a crossover snowboarder. Not sure if Jourdan was more of a racer or a freestyler, but hey, it's worth a mention.

Rick, just saw this. I will try & get him in touch with the Austin Texas Outlaws (about the closest to him) or you can have him contact me:
gbukowsky@hotmail.com and I will forward.
They've got some extra rides, so that's not a problem
See what I can do.
Vaya con Huevos,
Glenn

Hey Outlaws - I have a snowboard racing friend who just moved to Texas, near Kerrville outside of San Antonio. He is looking to find other area skaterz...anybody?
He is username "tex1230" on
http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/ - or reply here and I'll make the connection.
Good dude - here's what he posted on Bomber:
"Gecko keeps telling me that since I'm moving to the lone star state, I need to hook up with some slalom guys......
My skateboard quiver is a single board - Gravity 47" Hypercarve
will that get me started or is it simply the wrong tool?
Do they go GS on skateboards?
I was a pool/ramp skater a long long time ago, but I have just used this board for mellow turns on not-too steep hills...not sure I'm ready for high speeds, and I know I'm not ready for high speed crashes!
(oh - what safety gear do I need?)"
Show him the BAR - LOL!!
