God, I was hungry til I read that . . . bleeccchh!

The Capital Cafe' on Main Street in Columbia sits right across from the State House. I don't know of anyone who ever ate there, but every one always commented on the fact that the CC had a "Brain Omelette" on the menu,

I know that some of the Frats at Carolina used to make their pledges go to the CC at 3:00 in the morning and order a brain omelette. Those frat boys, always cutting up!

Both my parents claimed to have eaten brains and eggs as kids...and enjoyed it. They said it tasted like deviled ham. I got them each a can of pork brains in milk gravy for their Christmas stockings several years ago, they said they would eat it, but never did. It's real hard to find cans of pork brains in milk gravy in Palm Beach, Florida.
