Hans is correct.

Sam, if you edit your post and delete that extended link, you'll see the page size return to normal. pHp won't hyphenate your link because that would interrupt the URL. I'm sure that if you follow Hans' advice and create a link, the page width will correct itself.

The same problem, by the way, appears when a ridiculously large photo is linked and displayed. If it's wider than the page width, then the whole layout goes to hell. I wish people would learn how to use a decent photo-editing program: nothing for the web over 72 dpi, set your image size at 4x6 or 5x7 and select an appropriate quality level for the .jpeg to keep it under 100K. Life could be so easy if people WOULD JUST PAY ATTENTION!

Sam, it may be your own problem. You have a very long link that may cause this page width. Try to hide the real link like this with the url command...

(url=http://url)URL text(/url)

Change () to [].

Hi Jani and Wesley!

The 'AdrenalinX UK Championship - Brands Hatch' forum does not seem to have a page width limit to it, or rather that the one in place at the moment is double that of most other forums; making it difficult to read.

Is it possible to have the width altered to the correct level?

Here's a suggestion: Please make a post in this thread each time you have problems connecting and you have excluded all other possibilities (like your own provider not responding). Make repeated tries also before posting, with one minute apart or so before making a note of the date and time. Then once the connection is up again come here and make a post. We only need a maximum of two posts for each occasion. Like that we could use it and let our provider know that maybe their "up-time" could be better.

I tried to obtain a reply from our providers about this problem a long time ago, but they're not so happy to let us know about their servers being unavailable I guess, because I could never obtain an answer.

Although irritating I guess we shouldn't worry too much about it as long as it's not too often. Apart from these minor down-times they seem to be a reliable provider.

Strange, but true.. It happens in the Mountain State as well..but for some reason, if I frequent (the other site) and then immediately try again, it pops up immediately!! No kiddin'

happens to me now and then... sometimes just DNS errors, sometimes I get a PHPBB error. Usually comes back in an hour or so...

does anybody else have trouble accessing the site some times of the day? like 30 minutes ago i could not get in. this happens quite often. is it just me?
