I have taken the rule that if the name is not separated into two parts, then it's a pseudo and I'll auto delete them.
Also those who don't mention skateboard, slalom or similar in their interests (and have signed up with Russian or Turkish profiles) are likely to be spam.
I'm deleting most of the new registrations of this type.
Probably all the suspicious posts end up in the General Board forum because that's the examples provided on the Russian hacker site. (like the one Vlad showed us a year or two ago).
Still, it would be nice to get some assistance from our Russian speaking friends here.

We're going to need someone who reads RUSSIAN to review new members' profiles and posts. Some are REALLY SUSPISCIOUS, but I'm not going to zap 'em just because I'm paranoid.
If anyone here is bilingual in Russian and English, please contact me. I need profiles read and translated so I know if a new registerant is a legitimate skater or a hack. There's a post right now that is in Russian on the Deck Forum that I don't know is for real or an ad.
Please pass this along to anyone who may be able to help.

In the worst case we would have to "switch on" the registration confirmation, thus each new member will have to be approved by an adminstrator. That would easily erradicate all such garbage, but it means new members can't post until someone has authorized them, so that would potentially discourage some members.
I'm doing my best deleting this stuff, but it's hard to be here all the time.

The Porn Bot problem is back. I've seen innumerable new "members" just posting trash with a link to a porn site. Also, the new scam is links to locations for free MP3 downloads.
I will be gone from Thursday night through Monday night in Texas. I THINK the motel has wireless internet, but I'm not sure.
If any Administrator could keep an eye on the new registrants and zap the obvious scum bags, I'd appreciate it. Letting it go for more than just a day could really add some real garbage to the forums.
Thanks,
WT
