Stephen,
I'm near Dayton but not entirely too far for a session at some point. Thanks for the heads up and let me know of any casual events as I'm just getting back to it again.

John, you're close enough to skate with the Chitown crowd and the Detroit crew. Where in Ohio are you?
I got an E Series PP from Carassco and I'm loving it too. Saw Chicken kick ass at La Costa two weeks ago, his decks are nice. Stay hip and let us know more about your loc so we can help plug you in.

Hello,
Also new to this site:
I hadn't ridden cones in almost thirty years but had gotten back into some bowl carving a few years ago. I went to www.pocketpistols.com and had correspondence with "Chicken" who is VERY cool. He set me up with a complete chicken dagger, tracker rts/rx, manx, khiro, oust setup for less than $150 shipped across the country. I don't have much for comparison but it is a scream to ride and does well at tight as well as GS.

Chicken, If you're out there......thanks again for the hookup and rekindling the stoke.

Martin, I'm 6'2" and 175. I just got two decks from Sk8kings for my kids that I've been riding too:
http://sk8kings.com/Merchant2/merchant. ... ory_Code=D
The Axe III, and the E-Series Brown Bomber Pocket Pistol - both under $100 bucks each. The E-Series is an awesome TS board and you will love the new Axe - very versatile board from Hybrid to GS. Great people to buy from too - fast shipping.
Good luck and let us know how things shape up for you!

There are a lot of good boards out there that are goo for people just starting out. In no particular order here are some good decks. Roe, I use the Unlimited and have had it for about 2 years now, it is an excellent board. It has Camber and choice of flex the Performance series is 95$ plus shipping http://www.roeslalom.com/performance.html . The Axe A quick board Choice of a lot of the people I skate with. No Camber no flex that I can think of, 75$ for the desk 160 complete http://sk8kings.com/Merchant2/merchant. ... ry_Code=SL . The Bahne black hill 50 bucks for the deck http://www.bahneskateboards.com/products.htm and the classic http://www.bahneskateboards.com/products.htm the black hill is the most used of the 2 deck I think, but I have ridden the classic and like it better. Pocket Pistoles They have a lot of good decks check out their site too http://pocketpistolskates.com/ . SkaterBulit I have not ridden these decks but hear good things about them http://www.skaterbuilt.com/ . I think that covers it. let us know what you pick. And welcome to the slalom community.
As Luck would have it . . .
