I also used to skate slalom in "surfstance". My feet are size US12 !!! :-))
I hit every cone with my heel ! :-(
Now I skate with my feet standing in "riding direction", like standing on a mono ski, and it works perfectly !

Foam decks usually have cap construction. The cap stores and releases energy better then the sandwich. Many people like snappy boards.

Point your feet forward to avoid hitting cones.

Anyone want to explain why an expensive foam core deck is better than a moderately priced wood deck?

And, for comic relief, I have size 16 feet. Does anybody run slalom with such big dogs? How do you fit on those dinky 8.5 inch boards?

Cheers
