The Black Hill now comes in 6-ply (New!) and 7-ply (original) flavors.

It also now comes double-drilled at both ends for multiple wheelbases.

The Bahne Black Hill measures 29.25" long by 8.375" wide at its widest point. It comes drilled for an old-school pattern truck, which is really any truck you'd ever want to use for slalom. It also comes double-drilled at both ends, so you can adjust the wheelbase to suit your needs. You can therefore come up with the following wheelbases (measured by the distance between inner truck mounting holes):
19.5"
20" (both trucks moved to forward set of holes)
20" (both trucks moved to rearward set of holes)
20.5"

It comes in both 7-ply and 6-ply configurations. My estimate for the "grey range" for weight runs around 140-160 pounds. If you weigh more than 160, order the 7-ply. Less than 140, get the 6-ply. If you're in-between, you should decide how much flex you like before you order. Or get 'em both!

Yeah Leo, I redrilled mine about half a baseplate for a shorter wheelbase, as well as dug in the wheel wells longer and a bit deeper. The deck responded great through really tight stuff.

Just got a Black Hill...sweet. Everything said above is true, this is one great board. No better value on the market today. When you hold this board in your hands you will be impressed, pictures don't do it justice. I love the surf inspired nose. Stoked to start racing it in the spec class here in DC.

I have to Agree...I AM NOT a professional skateboarder, but i AM pretty damn good. I also weigh in at 190 lbs and flexible slalom boards can get difficult....the biggest surprise is this black hill actually performs as well as it looks (forget the website, you've got to see this board "in person", its beautiful)...slight camber, stiff flex, wider than most slalom decks out there...i've got mine mounted with indy's and old hyper-rolo's....and i LOVE this board!...you wont find more bang for your buck anywhere. Thanks for comin' back Bahne!

I love the Black Hill board, I'm a heavy guy, and the Bahne holds up my weight awesome, but also flexs great for a lighter rider. I can skate anything from really tight courses to big GS. I recommend the Black Hill to anybody involved in slalom who wants an inexpensive awesome all-around board.

The Bahne "Blackhill" is one of our students favorite boards at the Yahoo slalom class. This is a great starter board for anyone interested in slalom.
