which deck for a novice

i'm trying to make a decision between the skaterbuilt VRSII-hybrid and the Airflow Foxy Pro Model, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also the board would be use for mostly TS and a little hybrid, i'm 5' 9" and i weigh like 115, so i'm really lightweight.
thanks in advance, hopefully i'll have my board ready for the Beast of the East Race

oh, also i have one radikal claw right now and i plan on running the board with seismic hotspots, back truck will be either a radikal wing or tail once i get the money for it

the foxy is a tight board and the skaterbuilt is more of an all purpose board.
both boards have good features,so why not buy both?

Like Donald said, they are both great boards. But if your goal is to race at the BEAST of the EAST, then a bigger hybrid or GS board with a bigger wheelbase choice would be more appropriate and serve you better. I know I wouldn't try the Worlds GS course on Bluegill Road on a tight board.
Those hills are no joke...

um first of all is the foxy cambered at all and what would you suggest as a back truck for the boards, for example would you advise me to use an offset truck on either board, or not?

I don't know about the Airflow deck having camber or not. Post
that question in the Airflow thread and I'm sure you'll get an answer.
Offset or split-axle in back is going to help for anything, TS/HS, or GS.
Have you ridden cones on any hills as big as Bluegill, or Hobby Park yet?
Where are you in NC?

i've never ridden cones on anything as big as that, but i've bombed hills/carved them on a flexdex clear 29... i live in Winston-Salem and my friend and i are going to hobby probably next weekend to check it out, i've mountain biked over there so i'm pretty sure i've seen the course before oh and thanks for the advice i'll definitely post in the airflow thread
