New to slalom, quick set up info

Post by Mikey Seibert » Wed Oct 02, 2013 8:19 am

Hello
I am Mikey. The director of Longboarding for Peace. After 25 years of skating, I have never tried slalom. I dig it, and plan on racing the new season after the worlds. So I did a bunch of internet research over the last few days, way too many opinions. So I thought I would ask the pro slalom guys. I did some trading and here is what I came up with.
Jbh/pg.carbon foam board with the kicktail that is flat on bottom(level with board bottom)
Tracker racetrack s 106,bennett.vector 4.3
3dm avilon 68mm wheels.
Not sure if this is good or not, but all my extra cash.goes to the kids in the lb4p programs, shoes, helmets, gloves, etcc
So its all I could get with the stuff I had to trade.
My question is
How do I set it up? I am interested in doing tight and hybrid slalom. Gonna move into GS when I am able to get a set up for it. Thanks in advance for any help.

that's a great setup!

perfect for beginner through intermediate and even past that

Put the Tracker in the back and wedge it with the thin part towards the front. Bennett goes in the front with same kind of wedging.
