I wouldn't necessarily say that they're a challenge to any of us, but they're just a bit more fun and official. I can understand that they're a pain to move around, so I certainly will race either way. I vote for beer.

I voted that it didn't make a difference.

I feel bad for TK having to drive his truck from NH to NY to pick them up.

and

I am a little bit worried that permanent structures (ramps) on the Dam road might get us shut down by the rangers.

I am appauled by the general apathy and weakness concerning this topic.
"oooh, theyre too heavy to move, I have a bad back"
"push starts are just as fun"
"We need a truck to carry them"
"They are so big and scary"
pitiful.... I am taking up fishing full time.
I load my Kayak on and off my truck every night. I guess I could just fish off the beach. It would be easier....

Ramps

I'm right there with you TK. although I'm not retiring to fishing, EH!

John (The MadMan Pushstarter) has a valid point somewhere in there.

Pushing full on into a course is great practice, I agree. It's alomost the only way I've ever practiced. Ramps are better. It's about pumping. Everyone should work on their 'LOW END' Pump.

Isn't a "High End" pump (over 20 or 25 mph) simple controled turning anyhow?
Many Happy Pumps!

ramps

Personally I love the ramps and the farm this year was my first time on them. I hear what Joe is saying. Its about skateboarding, not all the bells and whistles. But if T.K. still has a good back, and is willing to take long drives to load the ramo into his car to impress his sk8n buddies - more power to him. You only live once. And if we don't have ramps we'll have a great time anyway and we can all talk about how much better we'd have done with the ramp and by the sixth beer we'll all have almost won the race.
