WOW! I didn't even know I had a time!

Not bad for 2 runs on a course i never rode I guess.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Cat is very cool, and in the tradition of every drummer I've either jammed with or met, she is just a little batshit crazy like them all.

Gerry,

Please let Liam and Rory know they won the kid's division. Prizes will come in the mail.

All my friends,

Thanks for taking Liam and Rory under your collective wing. Liam got home and said to his mom, "I have discovered the awesomness that is skateboaring. I have found my calling."

I wish we could do that to 100 kids at a time, but that whole "stranger danger" thing keeps getting in the way.

Thanks to all of you very cool and good people for being so fantastic to my Sons on Saturday in Jersey! Special thanks to Joe Iacovelli for the invite. My boys and I aren't too savy on the protocals and sharing thing, I hope we did not offend anyone. My kids will remember that day for the rest of their lives! A skateboardin Pediatrician?!, helping my kid skate?! Get the f'outahere. How does one plan for that?
God Bless all ya'll

Thank you Rob. Great time! Nice spot, but I noticed there are security camera everywhere. We need to keep this spot for Sabath only skating.

Nice to see Bob after so many years. Noah broke the NJDB curse, congratulations. Glen Chapman is lways the nicest guy, glad he made that long drive.

Got plenty to say, but Dan Parish gets my MVP award. It had rained earlier in the day and there was a river unning across the course. Dan took a carpet out of his car and used it like a sandbag to stop the running water. We would have had to change venues otherwise.

SO happy to see all my buddies and be outside after a long winter.

Mary is fearless! Just needs some practice and gear.

Thanks again to everyone who came out and made this happen. There wasn't a single person who didn't help out in some way. This wasn't one person's event, it was everyone's event and it showed. It says alot when all you have to do is pick a date and find a spot, and everyone comes out and just makes a race happen for the pure enjoyment and love of it, no shwag or prize money needed. (although I'm sure the Hot Pockets were a factor ;))

I think Fatboy has the results and will post them whenever he takes a break between unloading all those boards from his car, may be a few days.

Lets do it again soon. Shalom Hill is always open. Next time no pedo fun swimmies for a prize. Maybe we will upgrade the prizes too. How do you guys feel about sleeveless cut off demin jackets with airbrushing on the back? ;)

Good to put faces to names like Glenn Chapman and Fatboy among others.

It may not look it now, but the forecast actually got a little better, with the sun scheduled to make a mild appearance at 10 till about 4. Worse comes to worse we might have to run the Catamaran in a lighting storm at the end. Which makes it that much more hardcore.

Hope to see you guys soon.

Now an even better question, is what the f#@k am I doing up at 6am?

A note about the weather:

According to weather.com, its supposed to stop raining by 10am, and not start again till the evening. They had the same exact forecast last Saturday and I skated there all afternoon. The spot dries up fast. There's also a two tier empty garage around the corner thats skateable, and a giant one a way's up Rt. 4 that has an elavater, but also a bust factor.

I will be there regardless. I will be at the spot at 1pm.

If we get rained out, Since Bob Frias was the first one to mention weather, if your there you get a pie in the dick. Sorry man. That's just how we roll ;)

If we do get rained out, the garages can also be fun. I hope everybody comes and gives it a chance regardless, but I understand if you live far away and decide to bail.

Come give it a shot. Jersey weather changes constantly.

A few quick notes:

PLEASE PULL IN FROM THE ENTRANCE AT THE TOP OF THE HILL. This is easy to figure out since the road leading to the spot is on a hill also. Pull in at the entrance where you see the red sign that says "The Firnsch School" and park in the big lot behind the building. The entrance at the bottom will be coned off. Reason being is if you pull in at the bottom, you'll have to drive up the road we are skating and there's a bit of a blind spot coming down the road. This will make things safer and easier. Yes, safer is a word. I could use 'more safe' but I operate on the outside of society. I'm a loner Dotty. A Rebel.

BE THERE BY 1PM!!! Its a good idea to be there by 1, just in case we get busted and have to move to a new spot. If you pull in and don't see us, check directly across the main road in the gray building's parking lot. The name of that building is Country Club Plaza. If you don't see anybody at either spot, we got busted and went to another spot, and you showed up too late. Cell is two zero one nine two five four zero four three. Don't call too late cause I be strippin in the evenings.

I also suggest bringing Water/Munchies with you. There is a CVS and a Subway a ways up the road, but the less we have people pulling in and out, the better.

Thanks and see you Saturday!

READ THE FIRST POST.

Its a clinic/jam. Designed for beginners. People who don't skate slalom are going to show up with longboards. Courses will be designed depending on how many beginners show up. THIS IS NOT A RACE. There will be a timer, however, so we will be taking times and recording them, but, IF YOUR LOOKING FOR SERIOUS COMPITITION IN A BIG RACE FORMAT, THIS IS NOT A RACE FOR YOU. This is a get together for people who like to skate and maybe we can introduce some new people to slalom. Its a jam/fun/good time skate session. Not a how many cones/am I in the am or pro class/wah wah wah hassle.

So to sum up:

Bring ALL YOUR SLALOM BOARDS. Your longboards too.

There's a runout so there's no foot braking required.

There's a super market and things like that about two miles up the road.

This is an OUTLAW. So there's no entry fee. Unless you wanna give me bud, since its been dry here lately. Hence the testy response your getting now. ;)

Don't make me powder up my pimp hand.
Thanks for clearing that up Rob...enjoy.

Guys, please remember this is an outlaw. Guitars and amps sound like fun, but please leave them in the car until were done skating. We don't want to have any added attention drawn to the spot. Its well hidden from the main road, but amplified amateur guitar playing will make dogs bark and make cops come investigate.

Maybe once were done skating we can figure out a way onto the roof and you guys can pretend your the beatles. Or, since I hate the beatles, (I like Lennon's solo stuff better) I'll make a fake boat and you can pretend to be the Sex Pistols crashing the regalia or whatever the hell that thing was.

And to keep things fun, anybody that pulls out a guitar or plugs in an amp before the skating is done will get kicked directly in the balls or vagina (hey, I believe in equal rights).

I may be only able to get 1 power inverter. I'm not sure it could power 2 amps. perhaps it could...... I'll have to work on that one.

I hope to make it down to this event. I will also be looking for a Catamaran partner for the World Championships of Catamaran Skateboarding. My qualifications for this race run fairly deep. In 1975 my friend and I had a 5 race unbeaten streak. The streak ended in a tragic accident that involved a loose shoe lace sucked under a wheel and several layers of abraded butt skin. The nightmares have started to subside; I think I am ready to climb back on that pony and go for it. I promise to wear at least shorts and underwear and expect the same from my potential partner. I am 6 foot tall and in the 200+lbs club, I will be gentle if this is your first time. Please respond.
